General's Task
Author: Wolfgirlgo

Prologue

Long ago.... In the beginning of Jamma, when the phantoms were at war with the jammers, there lived a brave wolf name General Strongclaws. He worked at a pet shop called Claws, N Paws pet shop. Although he had plenty of riches, he was not happy. First of all, his parents wanted him to marry a beautiful, but mean, young wolf name Rosy Daisylily, second he wanted to fight in the war, not tend to pups. He was depressed because of it even though he had anything he could ever want. Little did he know that the captain of the army needed a brave wolf like General, one of the most famous captains in all of Jamma, Captain Desertwolf.

Chapter one: Stuck with no happiness

I swished the broom around, thoughts clouding my head, not letting me notice the customer walking in the door. I looked up, startled, when the animal tapped me on the shoulder. "I'm very sorry!" I barked "what would you like?" Then I noticed something..... Different about this wolf... "Captain Desertwolf, Sir!" I yowled, saluting to him. He nodded with a straight face, not a smile on him. "I'm here to get some fighting dogs." He growled "for the war." Then it flashed to me "the war, of course!" I led him next to the stairs when a cage was, filled with dogs. "This dog will make a fine recruit." I barked flicking my tail to a dog that goes by the name Seadog. He nodded slowly and picked up the dog in his jaws. "How much...?" He mumbled. "400 gems" I said. He placed Seadog down and reached his jaws into his Worn blanket and pulled out 400 gems. He dropped them to the floor and turned around, but then, he stopped. "Wait... I know of another animal that would make a good recruit." He growled turning to me. "You"

Chapter two: Miss Jamaa

I gasped, half excited half scared "m-me!" I yowled. He nodded and gave the smallest, yet joyful, grin. I couldn't believe my ears; I was finally getting out of here! But then my greatest nightmares... Miss Jamma, my nickname for Rosy, walks in with my parents behind her. She had her sassy little giggle and barked her little voice "what's going on?" I shut my ears and plugged my ears so I couldn't hear her annoying bickering. Then Captain stepped in "what is going on is this boy is coming with me, to do a task" I perked my ears, I didn't know what I was doing yet. "He is going to find the Golden Bow and Arrow." I gasped and jumped in "it is said that whoever yields the Golden Bow and Arrow can defeat all the phantoms!" Captain nodded then turned to my future wife and my parents. "So you see how necessary it is for him to get this item?" My mom growled "it's on the other side of Jamma, that's miles and miles away!" Captain nodded "but your brave son can do it, I know he can." I held my head up high with pride. Rosy looked at the ground then look up with fury in her eyes "my General isn't going anywhere!" Once again, thoughts filled my mind. "Rosy enough! I own myself no one owns me, I can go if my heart tells me to go, please mom... Dad... I want to go!" My dad sighed, finally coming into the argument. "You know, Captain is right, own son is the bravest of the brave, he can do this."

Chapter three: Welcome to Jamaa

I look up on the wall, my grandfather's swords. He was a great warrior, fought many battles and many phantoms. I pulled them down carefully and slowly and strapped them to my back "You coming!?" I heard Captain yell from down stairs "Yeah I'm coming!" I yowled bounding down the stairs. I hugged my mom and dad, and then I got to Rosy. "I will still be here when you come back." She growled "so don't get with another girl!" I rolled my eyes and looked up at Captain. "Let's go" he bared and we both slipped out the door. Appondale was empty; most of Jamma was empty except Jamma Township. He flipped out a large map and showed it to me. "First we will head to Jamma Township, then I will leave you on your own and you will travel through Temple of Zios, Crystal sands, the Canyons Pathway, and Coral Canyons on your own." My excited smile went to a disappointed smile. "Wait, you're not coming with me?" He shook his head "this is your journey; I will stay here and fight off the phantoms." I nodded slowly and sadly. "Now" he growled "To Jamma Township!" We trudged through the heat of Appondale, but it did not take too long since we were close the bridge that leads to Jamma Township. Once I looked up we were already over the bridge "I have never seen so many jammers in my life!" I yowled, my excitement returning. "Yes" Captain nodded. "Welcome to Jamma."

Chapter four: The Journey begins

Whatever you wanted, you could find it here in Jamma Township. All kinds of jammers live here, the good, the bad, the poor, the wealthy, male, female, anyone! I could see many brave jammers fighting in the war placing flowers at the bottom of Mira's statue, praying she would help them in the war. I sighed sadly and looked up at Captain. "You can't stay too long." he growled. "You must find the Golden Bow and Arrow as quick as you can, Jamma is counting on you." I nodded and looked down the long and crowed street of Jamma Township, on the other side I could see a bridge, a bridge that leads to the Lost Temple of Zios. "Goodbye Captain." I barked sadly. "I will see you when I find the bow and return." I know that was something that I could not promise. I might never return. I bounded down the path pushing through jammers. When I was almost across the bridge someone grabbed my tail. I looked up startled. "Why are you going up the bridge!" said the thing coming out of the shadows, an Arctic wolf. "That's where the phantoms lair is." I yanked my tail free and bounded on. Once I got to the other side vines and spider webs welcomed me. I pushed them out of my face and looked up at the wonderful Lost Temple of Zios.

Chapter five: Phantoms

I walked on the cold, mushy ground. Then it got to mud until I was wading up to my knees in freezing water. I felt like I was in Mt. Shiver it was so cold! I pushed on feeling Needle fish brush at my paws and legs. Once I was out of the water, a mouse nibble at my paw "HEY!" I yowled swinging it off. I was mad now. I dragged my feet along getting them muddy and sore. I was wet, cold, and tired when I saw my greatest nightmare, a phantom. It was buzzing past it long and thick legs going up and down with black smoke under it. I jumped behind a rock then saw it, the phantoms lair. The head of a Zios statue smashed into a strange, broken stone table. White and blue stars were coming out of it, it was tempting to fall asleep, but I know if I did the phantoms would come out and attack me. But I was cold..... Tired.... hungry..........  I couldn't take it anymore! I flopped down beside it ad slowly shut my eyes, just then I felt a zap on my shoulder, a phantom! I held back a yowl of terror; I pulled out my swords and SCLICE! Right in half. I ran, ran, ran, and ran I flew past a rock with an old look turtle behind it. I kept running till I felt warm sand on my feet. Crystal Sands!

Chapter six: Temptation

I looked up at the beautiful world of Crystal Sands. It really was as beautiful as everyone had said back home.  I trotted across the warm sand until I felt my paws touch cool water. I sighed with happiness and curled up on the sand. Maybe I could just stay a while....... It was the next day and I was in the juice hut dancing my heart out when I heard some crocodiles talking. "Man... I can't believe the war has been going on so long!" Yelled one of the crocs, "Yeah so one has to do something about it before all of Jamaa dies!"  Piped in the other one, then it flashed to me, I have to save Jamma! Crystal Sands has sucked me in! I noticed that since no one thought anything bad of Crystal Sands it had its own way of trapping you, temptation. I slowly put my cup on a table and slowly started backing out of the Juice hut. One of the musicians looked up and growled, it was a Snow Leopard. It flew at me and knocked me over "no one leaves Crystal Sands!" It yowled into my ear as it raked its claws down my side. It was about to bite my throat when it was pulled and throw off me into the wall. "Run!" Yowled a beautiful golden wolf wearing a pirate hat. "RUN!" It yowled more ordering and louder. I jumped up and ran out of the Juice hut; I could hear her fighting in the back ground. It saw a small trail so I ran down it, happy to get out of there. I trotted to a stop to admire where I was, The Canyons Pathway. But then that golden wolf crashed into me yelling "TORNADO!"

Chapter seven: Tornado

I looked at her with a terrified expression on my face, and then I looked to the sky, with an even more terrified face "Oh my Mira!" I screamed. The tornado was as big as the moon! I scrambled up and looked into her eyes "Can I at least know your name before we die?" I said sarcastically "My name is Enchanted, Enchanted Glamrose, and if you would stop asking stupid questions we could live!" She growled annoyed, "Follow me!" I bounded after her, obeying her every order. I may have tripped over every root and slammed into every tree but I was alive! Then, I tripped, and landed into a pile of cactuses, "Dang it!" I yowled tugged tying to get loose. I felt a even larger force pulling on me, tornado sized force "HOLD ON!" Yowled Enchanted, I screamed and cried like a girl, I have to admit. I was flung far until I landed in a stream with a tornado over me. I picked up my head weekly and gasped, "Coral Canyons!" I jumped up and down, but then sadness covered my face. "E-Enchanted..." I said looking around sadly, Then, to my joy, Enchanted pulled herself out of a bush and bounded over. "I'm fine you big baby." I smiled "I'm in Coral Canyons! Now I just have to find the cave of Epic Wonders...

Chapter eight: Epic Wonders

I noticed so meting shimmering in to water. I picked it up curiously, a piece of gold! I showed it to Enchanted and She look at the water, a reflection. "It's behind the waterfall!" She yowled excitedly bounding in, I ran after her. AI can't believe she was so excited, she didn't even know what I was looking for. Once through the big, blue door, I looked around, more amazed than any other place we had been before. "My Mira..." I whispered. A little stream trickled around a pedestal with a orb, a orb with the map of Jamma on it. "I know this orb!" Enchanted said walking forward to admire it. "If you touch any of these places you will randomly go there!" Cool, I thought "but that is not what I am looking for, I'm looking for the Golden Bow and Arrow." I spotted some stairs and bounded up them. On another pedestal there was another orb, but on top of that orb was the legendary Golden Bow and Arrow.... I took it off the pedestal and strapped it on next to my swords. "Go to that map." I ordered "Let's go to Jamaa!"

Chapter nine: Happy endings

Once in Jamma, I was attacked and licked to death by Seadog. "Down boy! Down boy!" I said laughing, Enchanted just smiled. I saw Captain running forward with more joy than ever. "You did it! And you're alive!" He barked feeling me like I might be a ghost. "Yes, I think I have had plenty of my fill for adventure." I said smiling. He nodded "then go home, I will use this bow to defeat the phantoms."  It didn't feel like long, getting home, with Enchanted there. When we made it home, mom and dad gave me plenty of hugs but Rosy didn't, she was furious, but oh well. Mom and dad said I could marry who ever I liked so I chose Enchanted. Me and her had a wonderful life with each other and had 3 pups. The war was over, but one of my pups was going to have a adventure just like me, but that story is for a different day.

The End

The Lost Temple of Zios
Author: Breathless

When Graham became an alpha, he was given a land, like the others. He got a nice one, witha river and lots of trees. He wanted it to be a really fun land, and he started making it fun. He decided he should make a Place where the all the wisdom of Jamaa could be, so he made a temple-like building and called it the Chamber of knowdlege.
On the first floor, he put books, herbs, candles, little crafts made by him... He made a trapdoor, and beneath it lie all the secrets of Jamaa´s knowdlege and wisdom. One day somebody will find the key to open it, and find out all the secrets.
The second floor was mainly used for memorials: A Zios Sculpture, spears and armor used in the great phantom war, statues of alphas, Zios´s paw made carpet, a dissectonated phantom and the ancient mysterious tapestry with Mira and the phantoms.
And in the top floor, he put up a shop where he could sell useful items: Statues of the alphas, a great Zios fountain, some chests for jammers to lock up their most appreciated possesions, a wishing well to make dreams come true, an Orb to see the future that only some jammers know how to use, a bronze giraffe statue in honour of Edmund, the giraffe alpha, a magic mirrow to help take desicions, some firefly lamps, a telescope to study space and the phantoms, That shop is also an observatory, from where you can see the stars.
Outside he made a Temple of Trivia game, and a mysterious room in the roots of a great ancient tree. But he also made a statue of himself.

But it didn´t stand there for long. After Zios disappeared, Graham decided to change it by a memorial statue in honor of the Sky Father. But the phantoms broke it and settled inside it, and when you sleep next to it they come out, thinking you are unaware of them, and start spreading chaos and dispair.
